I'm blessed to have two wonderful kids. I've been told that Chloe is just as "spirited" as I was at her age... Her favorite subject in 3rd grade is Art. She doesn't know the word "shy" and she loves an audience to watch her sing and dance. Jack lives for preschool and is just a sweetheart who loves to bring his mom flowers. He is convinced that he has shoes that make him run very fast, and he's really into Hot Wheels.
What have you been up to for the last 20 years?:
I've been in NE Seattle since coming up here for college. At UW, I studied Journalism and learned publishing and graphic design while working at the Burke Museum. I interned at a software company the last two years of college and ended up working there for 10 years, eventually becoming an Art Director for the Marketing division. Now, I am an Art Docent for my daughter's class (Bannerman would be proud!) and do some design projects on the side. I love painting, gardening and photography--in my spare time!
Comments:
OK - has it really been 20 years?! I hope I am wiser, but I definitely haven't forgotten what it was like to be young and without a care in the world. Of course, I also remember cruising Commerce, MickeyDs, driving around all night "looking for fun", prefuncs at the Burger King and maybe having a few people over when the parents were away... Hopefully my kids will never try to get away with what I did...! Love reading what everyone has been up to. Looking forward to catching up more at the reunion!

Well...I've been married for 16 years to Paul Baron. He's a great guy from Int'l Falls, MN. We live here in Longview...just 1/2 mile away from my parent's house. We have three daughters. Mykal Ann(Mykie) and Hanna are our 14 year old twins, and Elise is our 10 year old. All three of the girls are involved in sports and school. Mykie and Hanna play for Cowlitz Volleyball Club. They also play on a tournament softball team (their Dad is the coach). We have a pitcher and a catcher on the team. Go Slammers! Elise's greatest joy in life is competing in gymnastics. Nothing can keep that girl from tumbling all over the place. We have a lot of fun!
What have you been up to for the last 20 years?:
I keep busy with all the daily activities involved with raising kids, working and life. I went back to school about 10 years ago to become a Registered Nurse. I work at St. John Medical Center in Labor & Delivery, which I love. I am very close with my parents and sisters and regularly do a lot with them. We spend most of our free time going to our girls' various tournaments, meets and competitions. We want to enjoy hanging out with them as much as we can while they still think we're sort of cool.

Nobody's found a large enough team of horses to drag me to the alter. No kids, prefer to spoil my friends' kids and teach them to color on the walls and how to do summersaults off their dressers onto the bed. Basic stuff like that designed to irk my friends' wives.
What have you been up to for the last 20 years?:
Spent two years at a CC in Tri-Cities. Matriculated up to THE Eastern Washington University and miraculously earned a B.S. in Biology. Worked for the Alaska Dept. of Fish and Game as an observer aboard commercial fishing vessels for a while after graduation. Went back to the lower 48 and worked in Spokane and Concord, CA for a large pesticide company as a Quality Control Manager for 10 years. Decided I liked Alaska and wanted to go back so I answered an add on the internet and got a job at a seafood processing plant in Kodiak, AK as a QA/Regulatory Compliance Manager. Been here a little over 3 years now, ain't leaving. Love it here, except the bears can be a hassle at times. I sport fish for salmon every day from June through October. I have a sea kayak that I fish for Halibut with during the summer too. Whomever wants to visit Kodiak just let me know, you're all welcome. Life is good.

My husband, Mark, and I have been married for 8 years. We have two lovely children. Nick is 5 and Lily is almost 4. They are very sweet and very attached to one another, as of now. I'm sure that may change. Both attend a German-American preschool a few days a week. The four of us enjoy traveling, biking, hiking, and anything that involves the outdoors.
What have you been up to for the last 20 years?:
After graduating from Gonzaga University in Spokane, I moved to Dallas, TX to work as a private, personal trainer. I joined my sister and together we expanded her clientale as we trained people privately in their own homes. I absolutely cherished my job. I hope to return to it someday. During my 8 years of work and residence in Dallas I met my husband, Mark. Luckily, he, too, is from Washington which makes visiting our families easy. We dated long-distance for a few years and then took the plunge and got married. Mark is a pilot in the Air Force and we have now lived in several places. From Dallas, we moved to south Texas, Phoenix, South Korea for one year, Italy for three years, and we currently reside in Germany, where we hope to be for at least one more year. It has been a fantastic journey. I absolutely love Europe and hope we can stay for awhile. Our kids were both born in Italy and have never lived in the states, which is a little hard to grasp at times, but living overseas has been a great eye-opening experience for us. Who knows where we will go next!

Married a darling California girl in 1994. http://Grace4Gayle.blogspot.com. Elijah our first-born son is twelve. He enjoys soccer, series books, play station, and his best buddy Nate. Allegra (11) is daddy’s princess...she’s a voracious reader, is beginning the drama with her girl friends, is majoring in retail therapy, and gives me dance lessons at the annual father & daughter ball. Malachi (7), our second son is loud and fast – he is the first to jump in a mud puddle, out of a tree, off his bike to knock out his front teeth. Gabriel (4) wants us to call him “Gabe” and we do because he’s the baby of the family…color crayons and cars…he’s daddy’s little man.

Hired by US Bancorp in 1999. Malachi born the same year. Promoted to Vice President in 2001. Gabe born in 2003. Launched BRYANT Wealth Management, Inc. in 2006. I have been married for almost 6 years to another brave soul who moved back to Longview after going to college. Aaron is a supervisor at Georgia-Pacific. We actually have 1.75 children. We have a daughter, Miller, who just turned 3 and another bundle of estrogen due in June (payback to daddy).
What have you been up to for the last 20 years?:
College for 7 years, BA communications from UofWA, then my BSN from Oregon Health Sciences Univ. I have been working as a labor and delivery nurse last 12 years, most recently in Vancouver at Legacy Salmon Creek. I love my job (most days, as all of you who have gone through or witnessed childbirth can relate.) We spend our time traveling, hanging out with our family and friends, running and working out. Oh yeah, and catering to Miller's every little desire. So I may see all of you at the reunion if, after having this child, I'm able to stay up past 9p.m.

I have been married 17 plus years to my wife Susan. Together we have brought into the world 2 great kids. Our son Hunter is now 11, and plays competitive soccer with a passion, loves to read, plays guitar, and is very good with younger kids. Emma, our 9-year-old daughter is very sweet, enjoys horses, writing, and loves to go to church and school.
What have you been up to for the last 20 years?:
After one term at LCC I headed to California. I found work as a press operator / printer (go VICA) in Ventura, CA. About a year and a half of working and saving gave me the base to start school at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA. Susan and I were married in my first term in collage. Three intense years later I graduated with a BA in commercial photography. I wanted to get back to the NW (to much sun in CA) and had job offer in Portland, so I took it. Since moving to Portland in 1993 I have worked for myself mostly, doing commercial photography and other visual communications projects. I spent five years as Sr. Photographer for the photo studio at Nike, Inc., and have been blessed with many opportunities to travel the US and abroad for work, mission’s projects, and pleasure.

Married to an amazingly tolerant girl that I met on a blind date, Amber. We have one little boy, Cooper Lawrence, who is 10 months old and is the apple of my eye.
What have you been up to for the last 20 years?:
Went to the UW and got my degree in History, (because I wasn't smart enough to get thru the math prerequsites for the Society and Justice program...STILL hate math...)and after that took a course in Teaching English as a Second Language. Went to Hong Kong for a year and had a great time, ended up working in a Hard Rock Cafe rip-off type restaurant and learned how the Brits drink. Came back and worked as a claims adjuster for a few years, then a year back in Longview working for my Dad. However, I couldn't stand to only see Amber on my weekends, so I moved back to Seattle in 2000 and got a job with Pagliacci Pizza. I now am the General Manager at the Pizzeria in the University District. Looking forward to seeing everyone, and thanks for getting this all organized, Rene'!
